For a long time, I struggled to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I wasn't sure if I wanted to become a lawyer. I dropped out of college because I was so insecure and unsure about what I wanted to do. I finally realized that I want to become a lawyer, but I still didn't know what kind of lawyer I wanted to be. But once I attended my first Fashion class with Kara Van Cleaf, I realized that fashion was the missing link. I could remember the joy I felt, and it was out of this world. I said to myself, "This is it!"
I was so sure of my passion that I emailed my dean and asked her to make me a fashion studies minor. My professor, without her knowing, lit a fire that is ever burning for the world of fashion. At first, I saw fashion, only as getting dressed in the morning and putting together styles and colors that match. But there was more to fashion than I thought. This summer, I learned how digital media plays a vital role in fashion. But more importantly, I learned that fashion truly makes a statement that captures the hearts and souls of its audience. It is essential to those who use it as a tool to portray a message that conveys their feelings or inspirations collected from society.
Although it took me some time to realize my passion, I am glad I could finally find my missing puzzle piece. FASHION LAW HERE I COME!
